It takes a village to grow a fiber mill and we are inviting you to join us for our fundraiser dinner which will feature sponsorhip opportunities, live auction and silent auction. Dinner Tickets include a brief tour of The Sheepwalk, refreshments, dinner, presentation and time for q & a. Guests also receive an oppportunity to tour Winterstrom Ranch & Fiber Mill in Natalia, TX.

2023 is the year of innovation thanks to a couple of years of unexpected reinvention. Artists are everywhere and we want to celebrate them as much as the enthusiasts to who support them. Guests will be welcome to meander from Tavern to General Store with stops in between for warm drinks and sweet treats. This year give the gift of thoughtful art and practical hand crafted goods. Learn something new and share with family and friends.

Introduction to Punch Needle Rug Hooking
Taught by Taryn Kail, Certified Oxford Punch Needle Instructor

October 7, 2023 • 10 - 2 with lunch break between
Have fun and make new friends while learning the basic techniques of Punch Needle Rug Hooking. During this fun and easy class, each student will learn how to transfer a pattern onto monk’s cloth, mount backing fabric onto a gripper strip rug frame, and use a #10 Oxford Punch Needle with yarn to create a 6” mug rug.
A variety of finishing instructions will be provided for those who want to hand-sew their piece and for students who do not want to sew. No sewing experience is required and a variety of finishing techniques will be explored and available as we complete the project.
Materials consumed in the class include a mug rug pattern, a 16” x 16” monk’s cloth backing fabric, a 10” x 10” square of red dot tracing fabric, approximately 3 ounces of 100% wool rug yarn and finishing supplies. (a $30 value)
Gripper strip rug frames, Morgan non-slip hoops, Oxford Punch Needles, and additional yarn and backing fabric will be available to purchase at the end of class.
